When looking for a car shop a few key traits are necessary -- honesty, transparency, quality work, and affordability come to the top of the list. I had just a brief experience with Agee's, but I really appreciated their help. I was traveling into Lincoln for a 1-day trip and was having intermittent problems with my AC. I called ahead to see if they might have some time the next day to take a look at it. I knew it was a long shot. I dropped the truck off the next morning and explained my situation. I'd be leaving town at the end of the day -- if they were able to get to it, that would be great, if not, no big deal. I knew it was somewhat of an impossible situation unless they happened to have a wide open day (something we all know doesn't happen in car shops, especially good ones!). They made no promises but told me they'd check in with me later in the afternoon if they were able to get to it. They called me back later in the day with a report on the situation. They let me know it was showing some codes in the diagnostics that related to the HVAC system, but that they wouldn't quite have time to get into the full diagnostics and repair in such a short amount of time. It seemed to me like they were generally bummed to not have a fair shot at fixing it :-) I went to pick it up and wasn't charged for anything. I really appreciated the honesty and help that they gave me and really would have loved to leave the truck there for the full job. That said, I know it's moments like these that show a shop's true colors. I highly recommend them!
